Text Box: About Giving
SCPNVC endeavours to offer regular training opportunities in conjunction with partner organisations such as Michi Artist’s Studio and Gallery on a by-donation-only basis.
CNVC-certified trainer, Liz Gay contributes 2 days a month of her time at no cost to SCPNVC and with the primary aim of sharing a powerful training with people who make a difference.
Spaces in these trainings are strictly limited so do please register early in order to avoid disappointment.
Participants will be invited and are not obliged to offer a financial contribution of between $350 and $50 towards SCPNVC’s operational costs.
Register on-line now or e-mail admin@scpnvc.org.sg to connect with our organisers.
Text Box: How do you deal with a 2-year old when he grabs every toy his friend plays with? What strategies can help keep your teenager open with you - and safe? What can you say to a 10-year-old who hasn’t completed his homework assignments - yet again?
As well as impacting both your own and your children’s well-being today, your reaction in these situations will ultimately shape how the next generation reacts in similar situations later in life.
In this workshop, then, mother of two, Liz Gay, will be sharing the simple yet revolutionary process of Nonviolent Communication, which participants can employ in order to:
Diffuse difficult or angry exchanges in the home
Stay present to their hopes for their children rather than to their expectations of them
Express concerns and define boundaries whilst simultaneously protecting children’s self-esteem
Focus attention where it can increase understanding, strengthen connections and resolve even long term issues
Celebrate themselves and their children in new and meaningful ways
Participants wishing to join this workshop will be invited and are not obliged to make a financial contribution towards SCPNVC’s running costs.
